Day 3-Temptation

Today is the first official day that I am following the 500 calorie a day diet. Yesterday I didn’t think it would be so bad, but this morning was a different story! I think it might have been that I knew I was limited, but this morning I was STARVING, and I am hardly ever hungry in the mornings. I had my apple while coworkers made fried potatoes on a small grill we have. The smell of the frying potatoes filled the office, but I continued to nibble on my apple and drank a ton of water to keep my stomach “full”.
I was rescued from the smell by class at 11. When I got to class I smelled McDonalds! I don’t know if someone ate that before they came to class but I could smell it and it made my tummy rumble. The smell finally left the class and I focused on my work.
I was allowed to leave early thanks to my boyfriend locking his keys in his car and me being the only one with a spare key. On my way back to work I stopped at Semilla and got a bottle of Vanilla Crème Stevia, the only sweetener I can use, and a bottle of water.
I headed back to the office, excited about my new flavoring for my drinks. I met up with a coworker who came back early to eat her lunch as well. We went into the break room and I pulled out my 6 shrimp and 1 large cucumber sliced. I opened my Stevia and added the flavoring. I glanced over to my coworker who was adding the toppings to a juicy hamburger. In the back of my mind I thought of how good that burger would taste-But then I remembered my “before” picture and ate all of the cucumber and shrimp with a smile. The Stevia made my water taste like a watered down crème soda, not too bad actually.
Dinner was a lot better. Thanks to my diet provider’s tips I actually felt full! I grilled and cut up some pork loin and added it to some water, green chile, garlic and salt. Soooo good and I was full.
Today was tough, but I think half of the battle is “mental” hunger and breaking habits. I have a lot of support (THANK YOU!!) and I know I can do this! I will keep you updated as I progress.
